Kingston announced its USB 3.0 product line for 2011


Kingston Technology Company, Inc., an independent manufacturer of memory products world-leading, increase support for USB drives 3.0 in 2011 with the announcement of its new line of products.

Kingston ® will develop a comprehensive suite of USB 3.0 flash drives to meet the needs of users of all levels will increase as the adoption of this technology.

"Our 3.0 DataTraveler ® Ultimate and our external drive HyperX ® MAX 3.0 has had a successful user adoption rates that require higher data transfer in portable sizes," said Andrew Ewing, business manager Kingston Flash Drive.

"As technology grows and more USB 3.0 and PC platforms support the USB 3.0 standard, we recognize the need to develop different solutions to meet different markets and help drive adoption."

For enthusiasts, Kingston launched its fast USB 3.0 drive to date. The DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 will be the main model and will be part of the line HyperXperience ™, a family of high performance Flash Kingston including SSDs, USB drives and memory cards to supplement HyperX memory modules for enthusiasts.

In September 2010, Kingston introduced the DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 (DTU30), its first USB 3.0 flash drive using a SATA chip to achieve high data transfer speeds. Once you increase the availability of single-chip controllers, Kingston will release the second generation of DTU30, available in capacities 16, 32 and 64GB.

The single-chip controllers provide better compatibility and speed with USB 3.0 units. Users will benefit from higher performance and lower costs in the next generation of DTU30.

As PCs ship with USB 3.0 capability along this year, particularly in the late second and early third quarter, Kingston will also launch a flash drive entry level for those systems.

This unit will target consumers who have lower capacity requirements and look for lower prices, which help promote widespread adoption.
